Coaching Staff Bios
Spencer Stecher- Player Development Coordinator
Coach Stecher has a strong background as a player, and has over 15 years experience as a coach, including the last three years at the top high school program in North Carolina, Ardrey Kell High School.
Ryan Morris - 9U Head Coach
Coach Morris, son of 12U head coach Rob Morris, played baseball at South Meck High School under Hal Bagwell and was ranked the #1 prospect of NC in 2006 and ranked #15 high school prospect in America by Baseball America in 2006. Ryan was named Charlotte Observer Player of the Year in 2005 and made the 1st team all state in 2005 and 2006. Ryan signed a letter of intent to Clemson University before being drafted in the 4th Round iof the 2006 MLB Draft. Ryan was named to the South Atlantic League All Star team in 2008 and was ranked the #22 prospect in the Cleveland Indians organization in 2009.
Jeff Long - 10U & 14U Head Coach
Jeff played high school ball in Cobb County, Georgia and was named to the All-State team in 2000. He then went on to play collegiate baseball at Gardiner-Webb University, where he holds several career pitching records at GWU. Jeff was then drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 12th round of the 2004 MLB draft following his senior year. He went on to play 6 years of pro ball compiling 33 wins and over 450 innings pitched with a professional ERA of 3.91 before retiring in 2010. Jeff has coached in the Clippers Program for 3 seasons now and is in charge of recruiting and social media for the Clippers.
Webster Beal - 11U Head Coach
- Played collegiately for Gardner-Webb University from 2005-2009.
- Played for the Mat-su Miners of the Alaskan Baseball League during the summer of 2007.
- Now serves as the pitching coach for West Meck High School

Joey Robinson - 15U Head Coach
Joey played baseball at Providence High School in Charlotte before receiving a scholarship to play at Applachian State University, where he played in over 180 games in his 4 year college career. Since college, Joey has been an instructor for Doyle Academy and recently joined the coaching staff at Ardrey Kell High School as an assistant for Hal Bagwell. Joey is entering his 4th season as a head coach in the Clippers Program.

Jamall Kinard- 16U Head Coach
Native of Newberry, SC where he attended Newberry High School before going on to play collegiate baseball at Newberry College, Spartanburg Methodist College, and eventually graduating from Gardner-Webb University with his BS in Computer Science. After college Kinard was invited to spring training by the Philadelphia Phillies, where he was then signed by the Mid-West Sliders, a professional team of the Frontier League in Ypsilanti, MI. Kinards career ended when he suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Kinard is now the head varsity baseball coach at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology where he serves as the Site Coordinator/Career Advisor with Communities In School.
